Motel resident arrested with stolen TV
At 1:10 p.m., police were contacted by Dudley Police who had obtained
a search warrant. The departments cooperated in searching a room
at the Sturbridge Heritage Motel. Police were on the trail of possessions
allegedly stolen from a Dudley residence.
Inside the room, which is the residence of 31-year-old William White,
they discovered a 32-inch flat screen television hooked up and in
use. However, the television did not belong to Mr. White, nor was
it the motel’s. The serial numbers had been rubbed off, according
to the report and police believe it had been stolen. White was arrested
on charges of receiving stolen property worth more than $250 and
removing machinery identification number. (3538)

at Admiral T.J. O’Brien’s on Main Street. Upon arrival,

police arrived. The problem started between a male and a female
who was taken to the station to fill out an emergency restraining

Police located Mr. Partridge at home later that night and placed
him under arrest for assault and battery and operating a motor vehicle

Co-worker allegedly steals wallet
At 6:48 p.m., police received a walk-in report from a female who
claimed her wallet had been stolen. She said she suspected a co-worker
at Pizzeria Uno. Without her permission, her credit card was used
at ATMs several times for a total of more than $300, the report
states.
After several attempts, police made contact with 28-year-old Corey
R. Chauvin of 7 Clark St. Webster.
Chauvin reportedly admitted he’d taken the wallet and used
the card. He also gave a written statement admitting his guilt,
police said. Chauvin was summonsed on charges of larceny over $250
by a single scheme and larceny under $250. (3861)

Worker allegedly takes copper, gets summons
At 1:15 p.m., police received a 911 call reporting theft. Officer
Hillary Dadalt responded to the parking lot of Playa Del Carmen
to speak to the reporting party about the allegation. According
to the report, 56-year-old Roger E. Demers Jr. of 233 Dresser Hill
Road was given $50 to do some work for the reporting party. However,
Demers did not show up to do the work. Also, it was noted that a
pile of scrap copper piping was missing from the site. D & D
Salvage in Southbridge was called, according to the report, to see
if Demers had recently been there. He had, according to the report,
and while he was there he cashed in $60 worth of scrap copper and
brass.
As a result, Demers was summonsed to appear in court on a charge
of larceny under $250. (4026)
