Alternatives for Health moves to Main Street

STURBRIDGE- If you’re looking for natural remedies for what ails you, Salli Greene and Bill Widmeier, owners of Alternatives For Health, have treatments for your head right down to your feet. And that’s a literal statement, as they offer everything from ear coning, where a smoking tube loosens earwax and other matter from ear canals, to ionic foot treatment, where a client’s feet are placed in a machine filled with water that purportedly draws toxins from the body.
Both invite the public to the store’s Grand Opening scheduled for Aug. 20 at 3 p.m. A number of alternative health practitioners will be on hand for those interested, Greene said.
The shop, which was located in Brimfield, opened July 1 at 426 Main St., Sturbridge. The move allowed Greene and Widmeier to expand the store and they brought in more organic and natural products including, fish oil, local soaps, medicinal mushrooms, bulk herbs, both medicinal and culinary, as well as teas and other products.
“We try to keep everything as organic as possible,” she said.
Alternatives for Health is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The store is closed on Tuesday.
