Student allegedly threatens to stab ex-girlfriend’s
beau
At 3:06 p.m., Officer Ronald Obuchowski took a report from an individual
in the lobby of the Safety Complex. The reporting party claimed
to have been the recipient of a threatening cell phone message.
According to the report, the sender of the message, who was identified
as a 14-year-old student acquaintance, threatened to stab the reporting
party for dating his former girlfriend.
At first, the reporting party had gone to the Tantasqua administration
for help and was told to report the incident to police.
The parents of the accused were contacted and said they would take
disciplinary actions, according to the report.
A summons was issued for the juvenile to appear in Dudley District
court to face a charge of threatening to commit a crime. (5636)

Play fight brings police
At 9:08 p.m., police received a cell phone report of a fight in
the Savers Bank parking lot involving juveniles. When police arrived
they were told it was only roughhousing and peace was restored.

Sunday, March 14
Aggressive driving on Route 49
At 10:21 a.m., Officer Hillary Dadalt was on patrol on Route 49
when she saw a pair of vehicles approach at a high rate of speed.
A reading from the radar confirmed a speed of 72 miles per hour.
According to the report conditions were rainy and slick. Dadalt
pulled over one of the cars, a red Chrysler Sebring. The other car
involved, a Chevy Impala, also stopped. The driver of the Chrysler,
24-year-old Caitlyn E. Parzych of 1001 Old West Brookfield Road,
West Brookfield explained that the other vehicle had been tailgating
and became aggressive, operating in a reckless and dangerous way,
according to the report. Passengers in Parzych’s car included
her 16-month-old daughter and a 17-year-old. The other car, driven
by 34-year-old Angelo P. Ferrantino of 21 Bellevue Ave, Southbridge,
also carried children passengers. Both drivers were issued Criminal
Complaints reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, and
reckless endangerment of children. Ferrantino was also charged with
a state highway traffic violation.

Ex-boyfriend allegedly pawns jewelry
At 7:22 p.m., police received a telephone call report of larceny.
According to the reporting party, her ex-boyfriend had stolen her
rings. The rings were recovered from a Worcester pawn shop and the
ex-boyfriend, 36-year-old William B. McPhillips of 224 Hamilton
St. 2L, was arrested at his apartment and charged with larceny over
